The base engine in the F-150 is a V6 engine that can put out 290 horsepower. It also puts out 265 pound-feet of torque. The available premium engines include a 5.0-liter turbocharged V8 that can put out 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque as well. The base engine has a standard six-speed automatic transmission, but all other models of a 10-speed automatic transmission.
